“Love your work and your work will love you back,” bilin ni Ms Boots, 61 years old, and still very active in the movies, after all these years. Ayon kay Ms Boots, depende raw ‘yan sa gagawin ng mga bagets na ito sa kanilang careers. “You provide your own break. From the start, kung seryoso ka sa career mo, mamahalin ka rin ng trabaho mo,” sambit pa ni Ms Boots.

‘White Lady’ rated B by CEB
Regal Entertainment has scored another feat! It's ‘White Lady" has been given a rating of B by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB). "White Lady" is the second horror movie of Regal this year to be given a rating of B by the CEB, the first being "Pamahiin."
Based on the enthusiastic response that Regal Entertainment’s "White Lady" has received, this film directorial debut of Jeff Tan is destined to be a classic teen horror movie.
Direk Jeff is grateful as he says, "It’s so nice to see people enjoying it and shrieking in surprise at the scary parts. When we had the preview for the MTRCB, the board members who reviewed ‘White Lady’ couldn’t help but shout, too. I’m glad that my first movie is being reviewed warmly."
The story about how Christina (Angelica Panganiban), a student at a performing arts school is able to teach her tormentors a lesson, gripped the audience that packed the SM Megamall Cinema where the premiere of "White Lady" was held.
"Magandang follow–up ito," says Angelica whose previous film "All About Love" made good at the box–office. She adds "Iba naman ang napakita ko sa mga tao. Enjoy na enjoy ako sa paggawa ng pelikulang ito."
Aiding Christina in her quest for retribution is the clairvoyant Pearl (a riveting Pauleen Luna). In his first lead role, JC de Vera is likewise very impressive.
Fans couldn’t help but be mesmerized with the perfect characterization of the all–star ensemble cast that included Glaiza de Castro, Katarina Perez, Ketchup Eusebio, Jason Abalos, Gina Carlos, Franzen Fajardo, and Iwa Moto.
Iwa was utterly effective as the bi*chy leader of a barkada. Viewers held their breaths at a crucial action sequence that had JC riding a big motorbike. Highly–respected actress Boots Anson–Roa was very memorable as Christian’s grandmother. The viewers also appreciated how Gian, Pauleen and Boots talked in Ilongga so fluently.
Many also said that the choice of UP Los Baños as the main location was very appropriate as the old buildings and the dark forests heightened the suspense. And since the title of the film is "White Lady," the production team pulled out all the stops into creating the white lady that audience will remember for years.
Thanks to the wizardry of CG–animation, this marks one of the rare moments in Philippine cinema where a translucent white lady actually walks and not just floats. She also morphs into other objects. One scene had the white lady’s dress torn into so many pieces and turned into hundreds of rats.
Kudos and cheers go to New York University–trained and award–winning musician Von de Guzman for the spine–tingling musical score, sound designer Ditoy Aguila for the cutting–edge sound effects, Ignite Media for the stunning CG–visual effects and director Jeff Tan for his sleek visuals and fast–paced storytelling.
"White Lady" is now showing in theaters nationwide.
